The concern of the party more than the government

Uddhav Thackeray and his son Aaditya Thackeray have started damage control. They feel that now it is difficult to save the government, so efforts have been intensified to maintain their control over the party. Under this effort, Uddhav Thackeray interacted with the district chiefs of the party on Friday. He had a virtual dialogue with the heads of the district units from Shiv Sena Bhawan and inquired about their opinion about the current crisis. It is being told that except one Sangli district unit, the heads of all the districts showed faith in the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray. A day later, on Saturday, Uddhav called a meeting of the party’s national executive.

Like the district chiefs of Shiv Sena, almost all the members of the national executive showed faith in Uddhav’s leadership. In this way, it seems that the rebel group may have broken into the MLAs and MPs or their majority is visible there. But the Thackeray family has a strong hold on the party organization. Shiv Sena believes that if the party organization remains under its control, then the rebel MLAs will have to return. He is also confident that on the basis of the organization, he can show his strength in the Lok Sabha elections to be held after two years. Uddhav Thackeray is confident of saving the party’s name and election symbol only by relying on the organization. However, the Election Commission does not decide this on the basis of organization alone. He also has to look at the number of MLAs and MPs.
