Whitney Port’s Husband Clarifies Concerns About Her Weight and Health

One month after Whitney Port candidly discussed her husband Tim Rosenman‘s worries about her weight loss, the couple is addressing the situation to clarify their sentiments.

Transparency is key in Whitney Port and Tim Rosenman’s relationship.

Two months after the former Hills star opened up about her husband’s concerns regarding her weight loss, which ignited speculation, they have decided to provide clarity.

Tim, during a candid conversation on Whitney’s With Whit podcast on August 29, clarified his earlier statement: “I think you quoted me as saying I was concerned and yes you’re right, that opened up the press and everyone else to be like, ‘The husband is concerned so Whitney must have an eating disorder.'” He continued, “We should set the record straight, okay? I guess that’s on me to say what I meant by concerned.”

Tim, a television producer and father of their 6-year-old son Sonny, admitted that he had noticed Whitney looking notably slender in beach photos she had taken. He further explained, “And you often don’t finish your meals, so I was concerned that you were just too thin from an aesthetic point of view,” emphasizing, “which that might open me up to me being an asshole or whatever. But personally I prefer you with another, like, 10 to 15 pounds on you, from a looks point of view.”

Tim also highlighted the tendency to misinterpret someone who appears underweight as having an eating disorder and pointed out a double standard in such judgments.

He added, “Because if someone was 10 to 15 pounds overweight,” he added, “you would be crucified if you did, and rightfully so.”

Today, Tim feels more reassured, especially after confirming Whitney’s good health through medical checkups.

“I am not worried about your health because I have intimate knowledge,” he assured the reality TV personality. “I was just concerned if you had some kind of strained relationship with food, with appearance, with being in the public eye… People took what I said and gave you an eating disorder and you’re unhealthy and all this stuff, and that is just not the case.”

For her part, Whitney, who attributed her initial weight loss to an esophagus injury, is determined to prioritize her health.

“I do think it’s been blown out of proportion,” she acknowledged. “I want to gain more strength. I’m going to see a nutritionist to discuss it because I believe it’s important to be as healthy as possible.”
