Welcome Your Excellency Murmu!

There is no doubt that BJP has its own political tricks behind making a tribal woman its presidential candidate., Despite this, this is a historic moment of the nectar period of independent India.

Welcome to Her Excellency Draupadi Murmu, the first civilian President of the world’s first and largest republic. Supreme Court Chief Justice NV Ramanna administered the oath of office to Mahatma Gandhi on Monday morning after paying homage at Rajghat, the mausoleum of Mahatma Gandhi. They represent India’s richest cultural traditions as well as come from a society that has been marginalized and marginalized for centuries. In the nectar period of independent India, a woman of that society occupying the top position is going to further strengthen the faith in democracy. There is no doubt that the BJP has its own political tricks behind making a tribal woman its presidential candidate, yet this is a historic moment in the nectar of independent India.

It should be hoped that this historic moment will prove to be the one to remove the deprivation of centuries. After taking oath as the President of the Republic of India, she said ‘my election is proof that the dream of the poor can also be fulfilled in India’. The great beauty of democracy is that even the poorest and most marginalized person can fulfill their dreams. It is a coincidence that the Prime Minister of the country has also come from a socially and economically marginalized society and the President has also come from such a disadvantaged group. Now it is the responsibility of the President to work for the strength of the democracy which fulfills the dreams of the poor, so that the dreams of the poor continue to come true.

Keep in mind that it is not the dream of every poor to become the Prime Minister or President of the country. His dreams are small. He wants a life of honor. His children need cheap and good education. He needs better health facilities. He needs a respectable job. He wants an equal share in the democracy. He needs freedom from exploitation and oppression. Will the President coming from tribal society become a partner in fulfilling these small dreams? Every citizen of the country has hope from them, but if they stop the activities that harm only tribal interests, then the whole country will be benefited. If they stop the loot of water, forest, land and stop the displacement of tribals from their land for indiscriminate mining and construction in the name of development, even then the country and society at large will be benefitted.
