Wasim Jaffer Reaction on ICC Schedule: The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday released the schedule for the limited overs tournament from 2024 to 2031. After this announcement of ICC, former India opener Wasim Jaffer has reacted. Taking the help of Bollywood memes, he has told the whole situation. Cricketer-turned-coach Jaffer suggested that there was no point in chasing an ICC trophy now, given that there is now a tournament to be held almost every year.

According to the ICC, the eight tournaments will be hosted by 12 different countries. Apart from this, the return of the Champions Trophy is also certain. It was last held in 2017. This ICC trophy is going to come back in 2025 and it will be hosted by the defending champions Pakistan.

As far as India is concerned, the wait is on for the ICC trophy. Team India had to be out of the group-stage in the recently concluded 2021 T20 World Cup. India last tasted success in an ICC event in 2013 when the MS Dhoni-led side defeated hosts England in the final of the Champions Trophy.

A look at ICC limited overs tournaments from 2024 to 2031

The T20 World Cup to be held in the year 2024 has been given to America and West Indies.
The ICC Champions Trophy to be held in the year 2025 will be played in Pakistan. The ICC has handed over the hosting of this tournament to Pakistan.
T20 World Cup will be played in the year 2026. Which has been hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
– In the year 2027, the ODI World Cup will be played. The matches of this tournament will be played in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. Three countries will host this tournament together.
The hosting of the T20 World Cup to be held in the year 2028 has been handed over to Australia and New Zealand.
India has got the hosting of the Champions Trophy to be held in the year 2029.
In the year 2030, the T20 World Cup will be organized in England, Ireland and Scotland.
In the year 2031, India and Sri Lanka will jointly host the ODI World Cup.
