Warriors’ defense created history by registering a spectacular victory over Bengaluru Bulls

Pro Kabaddi league Season 8, Bengaluru Bulls vs UP Yoddha, UP Yoddha defeated Bengaluru Bulls 42-27 in the 44th match of Pro Kabaddi League season 8 played at Sheraton Grand Whitefield in Bangalore on Sunday. UP created history by securing 22 tackle points, becoming the team with the highest number of tackle points in Pro Kabaddi League history. Sumit was the best defender with four tackles, while captain Nitesh Kumar made 3 tackles. This is the second win of the season for UP Yoddha and they have reached the sixth position in the end table with 20 points. This is the first defeat for the Bulls after five matches and they have slipped to the third place in the points table. Srikant Jadhav got the most raid points in this match, then Bharat completed his Super 10. Neither Pardeep Narwal nor Bulls captain Pawan Sehrawat walked in this match.

Defenders stop Pardeep and Pawan

In the very first raid, Pawan Sehrawat touched the running hand to Ashu Singh and gave Bengaluru the first point. King Pardeep Narwal, who came to do the first raid of the warrior, was tackled by Mohit Sehrawat and gave the second point to the Bulls. Surender Gill opened the account with bonus to the warriors. In the first 10 minutes, both the legendary raiders remained calm. Both the teams were increasing the score by taking points in the defence. However, Chandran Ranjeet dismissed both the corners in the same raid to put the Bulls ahead 10-6. By super tackles Pawan Sehrawat twice in a row, the UP Yoddha’s score reached 12. UP took the lead by super tackle Chandran Ranjit. The Warriors showed amazing defense and took a 19-14 lead by the end of the first half.

Defense created history with a bang tackle

In the very first raid of the second half, the Warriors tackled the Bulls and made them all out and took a 22-14 lead. By tackling Pawan for the fifth time, the Warriors took a 10 point lead. In the absence of Chandran Ranjit and Pawan Sehrawat, Bharat took 5 points in 6 raids to take the Bulls to 20 points. Bharat made a super raid and dismissed three defenders. Shrikant Jadhav completed his Super 10. Nitesh Kumar made a super tackle and gave the warriors a lead of 9 points. After this, Pawan was super tackled and made UP Yoddha lead 34-24. This was the Warriors’ fifth Super Tackle of this match and in total he had scored 19 tackle points. When the match ended, UP won this match from 42-27. This is the second victory of this season of UP Yoddha. Pardeep Narwal could not even score a single point in the entire match.
