Simran’s passion for cricket started with street cricket in her childhood.
When Simran used to play in Dharavi, the people of Aspan used to advise her parents to make their daughter do household chores. She told that when I used to play street cricket in my childhood, people used to say that being a girl, I play with boys. Go do some work at home. Used to taunt my parents. People used to tell her to teach her daughter to do household work, get her to wash utensils. But I was determined to do something and play further. My family supported me a lot and I am very thankful to them.
