Virat Kohli made this big record in his name, left Dhoni behind too

England vs India Oval Test: In the fourth Test between India and England being played at The Oval in London, Indian captain Virat Kohli made a big record in his name. In the fourth Test being played at the Oval, Kohli has become the fastest batsman to score 23,000 runs in international cricket.

Kohli achieved this milestone in the 490th innings of his career on the first day of the fourth Test against England. The Indian captain was dismissed by Ollie Robinson for a personal score of 50, which was his 27th fifty in Test cricket.

Sachin Tendulkar has the highest number of 34,357 runs in international cricket. He is followed by Kumar Sangakkara (28,016 runs) and Ricky Ponting (27,483 runs). In this list, Kohli is at number seven while Rahul Dravid (24,208 runs) is at number six.

The 32-year-old has scored runs in all three formats at an average of over 50. He has scored 13,646 runs in 96 Tests while he has 13,061 runs in 254 ODIs. Apart from this, he has scored 2,272 runs in 89 T20 Internationals.

Dhoni’s record was also broken

Virat Kohli became the first batsman to score 50 or more runs as captain on England soil as soon as he scored a half-century in the first innings of the Oval Test. He left behind MS Dhoni in this record.
