Playing video games gradually becomes an addiction. After that the child concerned does not want to think about the game, Even then he was not able to stop himself. People who play video games full of violence become ruthless.

Two recent incidents have shaken the general public. Both of these are related to the increasing addiction of mobile games. In one of these incidents, a 16-year-old boy was accused of killing his own mother. It is said that the mother used to forbid the son from playing mobile games. On the other hand, in the second incident, the son committed suicide due to this reason. These incidents have again brought to our notice the problems in the families due to mobile games. Middle class families around the world are grappling with such difficulties. Some time ago, research conducted at the Australian National University gathered solid evidence that playing video games gradually becomes an addiction. After that, the situation becomes that even if the child concerned does not want to think about the game, he is not able to stop himself. Some other experts also say that people who play video games full of violence become ruthless. They don’t mind seeing violent pictures. Such people resort to video games to get rid of stress and instead of committing crimes, they start taking their anger online or on video games.

Last year in India, parents complained to the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights that online gaming sites were promoting gambling, betting and exploitation among children. When children’s education started being done digitally during the Corona epidemic, many times children started playing online games in the name of studies by taking mobiles. The commission had asked for guidelines on gaming sites to prevent confusion among children. At the same time, the commission questioned what steps are taken to prevent child rights abuses on their sites. But perhaps the matter stopped there. But recent events have made it clear that there is a need to take a more serious approach to this problem.
