New Delhi | Modi Govt Subsidy : Questions have always been raised on the subsidy scheme started during the time of Congress. However, the Modi government has also provided many essential materials to the people on subsidy. In such a situation, Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has given a big statement in this regard. Naqvi has said that even before the coming of the Modi government, people were given subsidy, but it was a political trick of subsidy, which PM Modi and the BJP government have ended with honesty. He said that after the abolition of Haj subsidy, there is no financial burden on Haj pilgrims, it is a proof that for decades political deceit was going on on the strength of Haj subsidy. Shri Naqvi said these things while inaugurating the two-day training program of Haj Coordinator, Haj Assistant etc. for Haj 2022 on Monday.

Modi Govt Subsidy : The Union Minister said that the Modi government has ended the political deceit of subsidy with the help of honesty. He said that due to the significant reforms made in the entire Haj process under the Modi government, while on the one hand the Haj process has become transparent, on the other hand, arrangements have been made so that the Haj pilgrims going on Haj after two years do not have unnecessary financial burden. He said that the dream of Ease of Doing Haj of Indian Muslims has come true by making the entire Haj process 100 percent digital/online. Digital/Online Haj is one of the best examples of Digital India. Shri Naqvi said that giving top priority to the health, safety and well-being of the people, Haj 2022 is being done with significant reforms. The entire process of Haj 2022 has been done according to the eligibility, age, health criteria and other necessary corona guidelines as decided by the Government of India and the Government of Saudi Arabia.

Modi Govt Subsidy : Shri Naqvi said that the Modi government has made many major reforms in the Haj system. These include ending the decades-old political deceit of Haj subsidy, eliminating the compulsion of women to perform Haj along with Mehram (male relative). He said that due to this, more than 3000 Muslim women have performed Haj without Mehram and on Haj 2022 also about 2,000 women are going without Mehram. To make the entire Haj process 100 percent digital-online, including digital health card to all Haj pilgrims, e-Messiah health facility, e-luggage tagging facility in India to provide information about the building/transportation of stay in Mecca-Madina etc. Amenities are included.
