Under Atal Pension, it is possible to announce the pension limit to Rs 10,000 in the budget, age limit may increase

When Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presents the budget on February 1, 2022, an announcement can be made to increase the maximum pension limit given under Atal Pension Yojana to Rs 10,000 from the existing Rs 5,000.

Rs 10,000 pension possible
In fact, PFRDA (Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority) has been demanding from the government for a long time to increase the pension limit. PFRDA has proposed to increase the pension limit from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 under Atal Pension Yojana. At present, more than 3.60 crore people have joined the Atal Pension Yojana, but if the pension limit is increased, more people can join the scheme. Many people are not joining the scheme due to the pension limit of Rs 5,000 as they find this amount less. Because by the time you will be 60 years old, Rs 5,000 will be very less to meet the financial needs.

Maximum age limit may increase
Not only this, the age limit for joining Atal Pension Yojana is currently 18 to 40 years. But the PFRDA has also suggested the government to increase the maximum age limit, which can be announced in the budget. If the government increases the age limit as well as the pension limit, and the husband and wife join the scheme together, then they can get a pension of up to Rs 20,000 in a month. But it will depend on the decision taken in the budget of the government on the suggestions of PFRDA.

Let us tell you that the Modi government had brought the Atal Pension Yojana in 2015. In which pension of Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,000 will be given after the age of 60 years.
