The legal battle over the control of Shiv Sena can go on for a long time. Many cases are pending in the courts and only after they are decided, the Election Commission will take a decision. So, leaving the court battle to his own hands, Uddhav Thackeray has started strengthening the party politically and organizationally. The action of central agencies against their leaders, especially the arrest of Sanjay Raut, has got them sympathy. As the message is spreading that BJP is trying to eliminate the other party doing Hindu politics in the state i.e. Shiv Sena, the association of Shiv Sainiks with them is increasing. The leaders of the Eknath Shinde faction also know that the BJP, which is trying to eliminate Shiv Sena, will not allow the Shinde faction to be strengthened. So they are also in dilemma.
Meanwhile, Uddhav has started associating old leaders and identifying people who have enmity or rivalry with the rebel leaders. A new leadership is being created in his place. The latest example in this regard is that of Eknath Shinde’s stronghold Thane. Mind you, Shinde has always been saying that he is a disciple of Anand Dighe. Everyone knows this too. Then Uddhav Thackeray has appointed Anand Dighe’s nephew Kedar Dighe as the district president of Thane. Shinde does not get along with Thane’s Shiv Sena MP Rajan Vichare. The views are completely with the Uddhav faction. He has got Kedar Dighe appointed. In this way, Uddhav has made a strong strategy to surround Shinde in Thane.
