Amit Shah offers prayers at Vaishno Devi temple

Jammu. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday offered prayers at the famous Mata Vaishno Devi temple located on Trikuta mountain in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir on the occasion of Mahanavami.

Shah was accompanied by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Union Minister Jitendra Singh. They reached Sanjhi Chhat by helicopter to have darshan of Mata on the last day of the nine-day long Navratri festival. Before going to the temple, Shah congratulated the countrymen on the occasion of Mahanavami by tweeting. He wished everyone a Happy Mahanavami. Maa Bhagwati keep your blessings and blessings on all. Tight security arrangements were made at the temple in view of the home minister’s visit, officials said. Shah was received by senior officials and eminent people and religious leaders, including Chief Executive Officer of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) Anshul Garg, he said. The Home Minister is scheduled to visit Rajouri district to address a public meeting after offering prayers at the temple.
