TV actors told what is special on Janmashtami?

Shubhangi Atre, aka Angoori Bhabi of &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain says“The celebration of Janmashtami is one of the happiest memories of my childhood. My mother used to dress me as Radha for my school’s Dahi Kala festival in Indore. My father used to take me to the famous Laxminarayan Mandir, which is popularly known as Birla Mandir or Krishna Parnami Mandir. The festival of Janmashtami is celebrated on a large scale here and people come to seek the blessings of the Lord. At home, we also make footprints of the child on the ground, which symbolize the footsteps of child Krishna. And we stay up till midnight for aarti and special sweets like Makhan Mishri, Lauki ki Barfi, Makhana Kheer and other delicious prasad that my mother and grandmother make at home to offer to Lord Krishna. During this, all the temples of Madhya Pradesh are decorated very beautifully and the Matki-Tod ceremony is a program that everyone must see. I wish I could enjoy all these moments once again by going to Indore. This Janmashtami, my only wish for all the people is that Lord Krishna brings happiness and peace in everyone’s life.
