&TV actors share how to celebrate Hariyali Teej in their hometowns

Vidisha Srivastava, Anita Bhabi of &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain says, “On the day of Hariyali Teej in Varanasi, the whole atmosphere is amazing. These days women can be seen dancing and singing, enjoying music, shopping and socializing among themselves. I feel this is the best way to celebrate any festival. In some ladies clubs of the city, a play depicting Shiva marriage is also performed on that day. There are also some fun competitions such as applying henna and decorating the mandap in the stipulated time, and later Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati are worshipped. When I was younger, I also used to enjoy participating in some competitions. Since the city is also known as the city of Shiva and has many Shiva temples, devotees offer prayers at the temples, which are beautifully decorated at this time. I wish I was in the city to relive all those experiences on this day. I wish all the beautiful ladies a very Happy Hariyali Teej.”
