Trouble for Akhilesh, who is eager to go to the Legislative Council

Lucknow, While battling the scorching heat in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is busy preparing for the ground-breaking ceremony, on the other hand, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav is busy in persuading the angry leaders in the party. In this sequence, Akhilesh Yadav went to Delhi’s Ganga Ram Hospital on Wednesday to meet senior party leader Azam Khan. There he stayed with Azam Khan for about three hours. During this, Akhilesh held all political talks with Azam Khan. According to SP leaders, in this meeting, the SP chief told Azam Khan about the eagerness of the party leaders for the Legislative Council elections and how allies are pressurizing him to go to the Legislative Council. Along with this, who should be contested by Akhilesh in the by-elections to be held on Azamgarh and Rampur parliamentary seats? Discussed this with Azam Khan too.

Now this week Akhilesh Yadav will announce the name of the party candidate contesting from Azamgarh and Rampur parliamentary seats. It is believed that Akhilesh Yadav will contest from Azamgarh parliamentary seat with his wife Dimple Yadav and Sidra Khan from Rampur parliamentary seat. Sidra Khan is the wife of Azam Khan’s elder son Aadib Khan. Along with this, he will also decide which four people will be sent to the SP quota in the Legislative Council. These Legislative Council elections are also very important for Akhilesh Yadav.

It is noteworthy that Uttar Pradesh has a total of 100 seats in the Legislative Council. Out of which the term of 13 Legislative Council members is going to end on July 6. Due to which elections are to be held on these 13 seats of the Legislative Council on June 20. Nominations for which will be filed from June 2 to 9. Scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on June 10 and candidates will be able to withdraw their names by June 13. Under this fixed election program, from former minister Swami Prasad Maurya to Imran Masood and son of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party chief Omprakash Rajbhar are in line for the claim to become the Legislative Council member from the SP quota. On the other hand, from Sunil Sajan, close to Akhilesh Yadav, many other leaders like Sanjay Lather and Udayveer are also eager to become members of the Legislative Council. Ram Govind Chaudhary, Ram Asare Vishwakarma and Nadeem Farooqui also intend to go to the Legislative Council. In this way, the condition of SP remains one hundred sick in the Legislative Council elections.

In such a situation, it has to be seen whether Akhilesh Yadav will try the same formula as Rajya Sabha in the Legislative Council elections or is there going to be a new political bet? By the way, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav does not have the opportunity to play a new political bet. They need Om Prakash Rajbhar and Swami Prasad just like Jayant Chaudhary. For the strength of coalition politics, Swami Prasad Maurya and Om Prakash Rajbhar must be obeyed, Azam Khan has probably given them the same advice. Now Akhilesh Yadav has to decide how he will deal with the pressure the party leaders are putting on him to go to the Legislative Council.
