punjab government will take strict action against chinese kite manjha sellers

Chandigarh. Strict action will be taken against those who sell Chinese kites in Punjab. Minister of State Gurmeet Singh Meet Hair gave this information.

In the wake of the death of a 13-year-old boy in Rupnagar district on Sunday after a Chinese manjha got stuck in his neck, the state minister asked all the deputy commissioners of the state to take strict action against those selling such manjha. He said, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has taken serious note of this unfortunate incident and has ordered strict action against such people who put human lives in danger.

Hair said in a statement on Tuesday that children, the elderly and animals have been victims of Chinese manjha in the past. He said that the sale and use of Chinese manjha is completely banned in the state and there is not even a single manufacturing unit in the state, but some people have bought this manjha from other states. He further said, whoever is found involved in the sale of Chinese Manjha will not be spared at any cost. The glass-coated Chinese manjha has claimed many lives in the past in the state and elsewhere.
