Asha Parekh Phalke Award: Giving information in this regard, Thakur spoke to reporters in his parliamentary constituency Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh. He said that for this the five-member Dadasaheb Phalke Award Committee comprising Asha Bhosle, Hema Malini, Poonam Dhillon, Udit Narayan and TS Nagbharan has selected Parekh’s name for the honor. Shri Thakur said that he decided in the meeting that this time Asha Parekh ji would be honored with Dadasaheb Phalke Award. He will be presented this award during the National Film Awards ceremony.
