India Alert on Omicron Variant: Recently, with the discovery of a new variant of Kovid 19 in South Africa, the whole world including India has become conscious about it. The World Health Organization has named this new Kovid 19 variant found in South Africa as “Corona New Variant Omicron”. Due to this the whole world has been put on alert. According to the initial information received, it can prove to be very fatal in the coming time.

However, the most important thing about this new variant is that it mutates 30 times faster than its previous variant, due to which it gives the possibility of spreading the infection more deadly and faster.

Omicron threat rising in Mumbai

Schools, which opened from December 1 in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra, will now remain closed till December 15, sensing the new threat of Corona. This decision has been taken due to the increasing threat of Corona’s new variant Omicron globally.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has recently shared information in this regard, saying that – “In view of the Omicron variant around the world, schools for classes 1-7 will now open from December 15 instead of December 1. “

Maharashtra Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad, while issuing guidelines to open schools closed due to Kovid for a long time, said that – “The government is highly sensitive to the possibility of third wave of Corona. and no laxity will be allowed in the implementation of the guidelines in view of COVID. Physical classes will be conducted only for 3-4 hours a day and only 15-20 students will be present in the class at a given time. Students are our future and we all have to come together to ensure and improve their health and continuing education.Although the plans to open schools from 1st December have now been canceled due to the threat of Omicron, the next plan to open schools The date has now been fixed as 15th December.

Rules for restrictions applicable in Maharashtra in view of Omicron variant

1. All foreign travelers coming to the state will be governed by the instructions issued by the Government of India.

2. Complete vaccination or RT-PCR test valid for 72 hours will be mandatory for all country travelers coming to Maharashtra.

3. A fine of ₹ 500 will be levied on those who fail to behave in accordance with Kovid inside a taxi/bus or any four wheeler.

4. In case of buses, a fine of ₹ 1000 will be imposed on the owner of the transport agency in case of default.

5. For the operation of any shop, establishment, mall, program, meeting etc., it is necessary to have full vaccination of the people operating and the people coming to such institutions should also be fully vaccinated.

6. Public transport will be used only by persons who are fully vaccinated.
