This time these star campaigners will not be seen in UP elections, were popular for their speeches

In the coming assembly elections, the public will not get to hear the speeches of famous leaders like Kalyan Singh, Ajit Singh, Beni Prasad Verma, Pandit Singh, Amar Singh, Azam Khan.

Election campaigning has started for the 2022 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh and all the parties have also released the list of star campaigners. However, due to Corona, the Election Commission has allowed only digital rallies. After assessing the situation of Corona on 23 January, the Election Commission will issue new guidelines regarding campaigning.

Whenever elections are held in Uttar Pradesh, the rumble of helicopters starts resonating in the sky. But this time the lack of some leaders in Uttar Pradesh will surely be felt by the political parties and the public. This leader was famous for his speeches and had a very good hold in the public. Let us know which leaders will be felt by both the people and politics of Uttar Pradesh in this election.

Kalyan Singh: Former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh, one of the big leaders of BJP and Hindutva face of Bharatiya Janata Party, will also not be in the election campaign this time. He passed away last year after a serious illness. However, Kalyan Singh did not campaign even in 2017 as he was the governor at that time. But the mere presence of him used to worsen the equations of many candidates. Kalyan Singh’s son is an MP from Etah and his grandson Sandeep Singh is an MLA. The credit for connecting the backwards with the BJP goes to Kalyan Singh.

His presence in the Lodh dominated areas was significant. He had a very good hold in 8-10 districts including Aligarh, Etah, Kasganj. In the 2017 elections, even though Kalyan Singh was not in the election campaign, but with the help of his tenure, the BJP was campaigning. At that time, the party’s national president Amit Shah also used to say in many rallies that after the formation of the Bharatiya Janata Party government, the law and order will be like that of Kalyan Singh.

Chaudhary Ajit Singh: Chaudhary Ajit Singh died in May 2021. This will be the first election for the Rashtriya Lok Dal when Chaudhary Ajit Singh will not be with him in the campaign. Jayant Chaudhary alone will have to take charge of RLD’s election campaign this time. Let us tell you that Ajit Singh had a lot of hold in the Jat votes and people respected him a lot in western Uttar Pradesh. Even though Ajit Singh lost the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the respect for him never diminished in the minds of the people.

Beni Prasad Verma: Senior Samajwadi Party leader Beni Prasad Verma, known for his jokes and statements, will also not be in this election. He too has died. Beni Prasad Verma, one of the founding members of the Samajwadi Party, left the Samajwadi Party in 2009. However, in 2016, Mulayam Singh again included him in the Samajwadi Party and sent him to the Rajya Sabha. Beni Prasad Verma came from the Kurmi class and had a great hold in this society.

Lalji Tandon: Lalji Tandon of Lucknow was considered very close to Atal ji and in Atal ji’s absence Lalji Tandon contested the Lok Sabha elections from Lucknow and reached Parliament after winning. This time he too will not be seen in the election campaign, he has also died. Although his son Ashutosh Tandon is active in the politics of Uttar Pradesh and is also a minister in the state government. People have a lot of respect for Lalji Tandon in Lucknow. People of every community respected him a lot.

Vinod Kumar Singh alias Pandit Singh: Pandit Singh, who hails from Gonda in Uttar Pradesh, will also not be seen in this election campaign. He too has died. Famous for his Awadhi and typical Bhojpuri statements, the lack of Pandit Singh will surely be missed by the public this time. It is said about Pandit Singh that wherever he is, on any platform, he did not compromise with his language. He used to keep his side firmly in the open and typical Bhojpuri. He also stood firmly for the poor.

Laxmikant Bajpai: BJP leader and former BJP state president Laxmikant Bajpai is also seen away from campaigning this time. At present, BJP has made him the chairman of the joining committee, but his name is not in the first list of star campaigners. Laxmikant Bajpai comes from Meerut and is considered one of the big Brahmin leaders of the state. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, when BJP got 73 seats in Uttar Pradesh, the state president was Laxmikant Bajpai. Although Laxmikant Bajpai is active in politics and BJP has not kept him in the list of star campaigners for the first phase. In Uttar Pradesh, in the first phase, polling will be held in the seats of western Uttar Pradesh and staying away from campaigning from western UP itself will surely surprise the supporters of Laxmikant Bajpai.

Amar Singh: Amar Singh, who was active in politics for decades, is no longer in this world. The people of Uttar Pradesh will surely miss his election campaign. Amar Singh was very famous for his poetry in his statements and for quirky statements. The dispute between Azam Khan and Amar Singh is well known and Amar Singh used to go to Rampur for election campaign. Before the 2017 elections, when there was a dispute between Akhilesh and Shivpal, Amar Singh was standing with Shivpal. Amar Singh may have been a Rajya Sabha MP from SP, but Akhilesh Yadav had given statements against Amar Singh many times in the meetings.

Azam Khan: Azam Khan, one of the top leaders of the Samajwadi Party, is currently in jail. He will also be sorely missed in the election campaign. A large number of people used to come and listen to Azam Khan’s meetings. Azam Khan is currently lodged in jail and if he gets bail further, in that case he can definitely be seen in the election campaign. Azam Khan’s taunts and cheeky statements on opposition leaders are quite famous.
