Jayant Yadav: Two changes have been made in the Indian team for the ODI series against South Africa. The Board of Control for Cricket in India has included Jayant Yadav and Navdeep Saini in place of young all-rounder Washington Sundar and fast bowler Mohammad Siraj. The three-match ODI series will be played from January 19. The first match of the series will be held in Paarl.

Washington Sundar was ruled out of the ODI series after being Corona positive. At the same time, Siraj is suffering from a hamstring injury. He is not a part of Team India in the third Test being played in Cape Town. Navdeep Saini has been included in the ODI squad as a back-up for Siraj.

Jayant Yadav returns to ODI team after 6 years

Jayant Yadav is a part of India’s Test team in South Africa. However, he did not get a chance to play a single match. Jayant played the last international match in December last year. At the same time, he played the last ODI match in the year 2016. He has played only one ODI match for Team India.

In this match against New Zealand in 2016, Jayant Yadav took 1 wicket for 8 runs. Apart from this, he scored an unbeaten 1 run. Talking about Jayant’s Test career, he has played 5 matches, in which he has taken 16 wickets. He has also scored 246 runs at an average of 35.14. He has 1 century and 1 half-century to his name.
