KL Rahul can be made the vice-captain of the ODI team

It is believed that KL Rahul can be made the vice-captain of the Indian ODI team. He is currently the vice-captain of the national team in the T20 format. In such a situation, now he can be entrusted with this responsibility in the ODI format as well.

Because of this, the command of the ODI team handed over to Rohit

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly has revealed that the selectors called Rohit Sharma after Virat Kohli refused to continue as India’s T20 captain. Had made up his mind to hand over the command of the ODI team, because the national team could not have two different captains in the limited overs format.

The BCCI on Wednesday appointed Rohit Sharma as the captain of the ODI team till the 2023 ODI World Cup. Ganguly said that Kohli was talked about in this regard and he has accepted the decision.

BCCI President and former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly said that we had requested Virat Kohli not to step down as T20 captain, but he did not want to continue in this position. That’s why the selectors felt that they could not have two different captains in the two formats of the white ball.

Ganguly further said that the selectors felt that the white-ball format would lead to confusion with multiple captains, so the Chetan Sharma-led committee suggested that it would be better to have only one captain.
