Cheteshwar Pujara is in danger of being out of the team, Lara told how to improve

IND Vs ENG: Cheteshwar Pujara’s poor form on the England tour continued in the first innings of the Headingley Test. Cheteshwar Pujara became the victim of James Anderson by scoring one run in just 9 balls. Former veteran batsman Brian Lara has advised Cheteshwar Pujara to come out of poor form. Brian Lara believes that if Cheteshwar Pujara has to improve, he will have to try to hit more shots which will be beneficial for Team India along with him.

Lara believes that Pujara should try to score runs with a better strike rate.  Lara said, "I was not a batsman like Pujara to play with restraint and did not score with a lower strike rate. If I were the coach or someone who wanted Pujara to improve, I would have advised him to play more shots and score runs at a higher strike rate."

52-year-old Lara admitted that Pujara’s style of play has helped India in the past. But Lara, in his view, expressed concern over Pujara’s several short runs. Lara said, "He does his job but I think when you bat so slowly, a lot of things make your innings swing. You have to find your way and shoot."

Questions are being raised at the place in the team

Whether it is the Australian tour or the England tour, the method of dismissal of Cheteshwar Pujara has been the same. Cheteshwar Pujara gives the catch in the hands of the wicketkeeper or slip by putting the bat on the balls going out in the right innings. If Pujara does not score big in the next innings, then he can also be dropped from the next Test.
