Rohit talked about his first meeting with Ritika on Gaurav Kapoor’s show ‘Breakfast with Champions’. In the show, he told how his wife has always supported him and she stood by him in both bad and good times.

Gaurav Kapoor asked Rohit during the interview that how did you meet? He replied that it is a funny story. I was 20 then and there was a shoot we were doing at that time. I didn’t know what was happening, so I rushed to the venue. Yuvi and Irfan were also together. Before I could talk to her, Yuvi told me not to talk to her as she is his sister.

While my shot was being taken, I didn’t know what to say. I had some dialogues to say, which I tried to say, and it all went well. But then the director came and said that my mic is not on, so we have to record everything again. So between those shots I went downstairs and Ritika was there. So he asked me if I needed any help. This is how it all started. Then we became close friends.

Popularly known as ‘Hitman’, Rohit Sharma started his career as an off-spinner. But today he is a great opening batsman and has made many big cricket records in his name. Rohit Sharma is the only batsman to have scored three double centuries in One Day International history. Hitman scored the first double century of his ODI career in 2009 against Australia in Bangalore. Rohit has played 42 Tests, 227 ODIs and 111 T20 matches for the Indian team so far.
