Mahmudullah announced his retirement: Bangladesh’s star all-rounder Mahmudullah has announced his retirement from Test cricket. He announced this on Wednesday. Mahmudullah has taken this decision before the Test match against Pakistan starting on Friday. This is considered a big setback for Bangladesh team.
Announcing his retirement, Mahmudullah has said that he always wanted to leave Test cricket at the best moments of his career and perhaps this is the right time for him to retire from this format. Mahmudullah said that I will try to do my best for Bangladesh in ODIs and T20s.
Mahmudullah will continue to represent Bangladesh in ODI and T20 formats. He has played 50 test matches for Bangladesh. Mahmudullah has scored 2914 runs at an average of 33.49. He also has 43 wickets to his name. He has also scored 5 centuries and 16 half-centuries in Test cricket.

Mahmudullah is one of the star cricketers of Bangladesh. He also took charge of Bangladesh team in T20 World Cup. In this tournament Bangladesh lost all its matches of Super-12. Mahmudullah’s Test career started in the year 2009 against the West Indies. Bangladesh team had captured this series 2-0.
