Usman Shinwari Announces Retirement: Pakistan’s left-arm fast bowler Usman Shinwari has announced his retirement from Test cricket. He has taken this decision to keep himself fit in the limited overs format. Usman Shinwari is 27 years old and he has been troubled by injury for the past several years.
Shinwari announced her retirement on social media. He wrote that I want to thank physio Javed Mughal, due to whom I have been able to return to cricket and am fit now. I am taking retirement from test cricket with the advice of doctors and physio. So that I can focus more on the shorter formats.
Usman Shinwari made his T20 International debut in 2013. He has played 17 ODIs, 16 T20Is and 1 Test match for Pakistan. His figures in ODIs have been excellent. He has taken 34 wickets at an average of 18.6. He last played for Pakistan in 2019.
Usman Shinwari tweeted on Twitter that he has recovered from a back injury that kept him out for a long time and is now ready to play. He said that he is retiring from the longer format on the advice of doctors and physios.
