Mahindra and Mahindra : Domestic auto major Mahindra & Mahindra on Tuesday said it plans to introduce 16 electric vehicles (EVs) in the SUV and LCB category by 2027. Through this, the company wants to strengthen its position in the electric mobility segment of India. The company has set a target of 15-20 percent growth in its total revenue by 2025.
Will invest 3000 crores in EV
The company has kept open the option of either bringing in private equity investors or demerging its EV business as a separate entity to accelerate its growth. Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has already announced plans to invest Rs 3,000 crore in EVs.
Company considering new brand name
Let us tell you that the company is also considering a new brand name for the electric SUV which it will introduce by 2027. Rajesh Jejurikar, Executive Director, M&M said, “In the SUV segment, we are looking to introduce 13 new models by 2027, out of which eight will be electric.

He further said that we think that by 2027, at least 20 percent of our total UV (utility vehicles) will be from electric vehicles. ” The company can introduce four new electric SUVs between 2025-2027.
Result released today
Mahindra & Mahindra has seen a profit of about 8 times in the company’s profit during the quarter ended 30 September. After this increase, the profit of the company has increased to Rs 1432 crore. The company has given information about this on Tuesday.
162 crore profit
The Mumbai-based company had posted a standalone profit of Rs 162 crore in the July-September period of the last financial year. M&M said in the stock exchange that the company’s revenue grew 15 per cent to Rs 13,305 crore in the second quarter from Rs 11,590 crore in the year-ago period.
