Abid Ali, Tim Southee And David Warner Nominated for ICC Player Of The Month: Pakistan cricket team’s Abid Ali, New Zealand medium pacer Tim Southee and Australian opener David Warner have been nominated for the ‘ICC Player of the Month’ based on their recent performances.

Pakistan opener Abid Ali averages 49.16 in Tests and has been performing well since his debut in 2019. In the ongoing two-match Test series against Bangladesh, Abid Ali has scored the highest 263 runs at an average of 87.67.

Tim Southee also did a great performance

On the other hand, New Zealand’s fast bowler Team Southee performed consistently with wickets in the T20 World Cup, T20 series against India and Kanpur Test in November. Southee took six wickets in five matches of the T20 World Cup. He captained the first two T20Is against India, where he took four wickets.

Southee was New Zealand’s most successful bowler in the Kanpur Test. He took eight wickets in that test match. He took 5/69 wickets in the first innings, which included key wickets from Cheteshwar Pujara and Shreyas Iyer, and dismissed three players, including Mayank Agarwal, in the second innings.

David Warner was ‘Player of the Tournament’ in T20 World Cup

Australia’s opener David Warner was adjudged ‘Player of the Tournament’ for his impressive performance in the T20 World Cup. He scored two important half-centuries and 49 runs in one match in the World Cup in November.
