Making a comeback in Pro Kabaddi League season 8: The Pro Kabaddi League has started and all the 12 teams have played one match each so far. All Pro Kabaddi matches will be played at the Sheraton Grand Whitefield in Bangalore. Looking at everyone’s first match, some players impressed everyone in the first match, while some looked colorless. But there are some veteran players who did not play in season seven and after two years have again landed on the mat of Pro Kabaddi. These stars are all set to make their mark on the mat of Kabaddi again and contribute to the cause of the team.
Sandeep Kandola (Telugu Titans)
Sandeep Kandola made his Pro Kabaddi League debut for Telugu Titans in Season 2. As a left corner defender, he won the ‘Best Debutante’ award with 59 tackle points and six high-5s. Not only this, Sandeep became the second best defender that season, just one point behind Ravinder Pahal’s 60 tackle points. Sandeep has been away from Kabaddi since 2015 and has returned to the match in 2021 and got Telugu Titans back in the first match and tie the match. In the coming matches, Sandeep is expected to perform the same as in the first season.
Surendra Nada (Haryana Steelers)
Ankle hold specialist Surender Nada is considered to be one of the finest left cornerers in the history of PKL. Nada, who scored more than 200 tackle points in his career, had a record of 5 consecutive high-5s in a single season. Haryana Steelers suffered a major setback when Surendra Nada was ruled out of Season 6 due to a shoulder injury. He was in splendid form in defense as well as played a vital role as captain in the last season. Nada led Haryana Steelers to the playoffs in his debut season as the best defender of Season 5 with 80 tackle points. He is back on the mat again this season and is trying to pick up his momentum.
Mahendra Ganesh Rajput (Gujarat Giants)
Mahendra Ganesh Rajput is known for his ability to turn the dice of a match at any time. The Maharashtra raider has established himself as a game-changer in the last few seasons with Gujarat Giants. After spending four seasons with Bengal Warriors, Rajput moved to Gujarat Giants. This is the same Rajput, who did a 7 point raid against U Mumba, which was the most memorable moment of PKL Season 6. Before Pro Kabaddi Season 7, Mahendra Rajput’s injury cost Gujarat Giants and the team failed to reach the playoffs for the first time. In Season 8, he is ready to take the field again for the Giants.
