‘There may be rain of money on this opener, there will be competition to buy’

Quinton de Kock might fetch the most money: The date of mega auction of Indian Premier League-2022 is getting closer. It will be organized in Bangalore on February 12 and 13. A total of 1214 players have registered for the auction, out of which 896 are Indian and 318 are foreign. Before the auction of IPL-2022, former Indian opener Aakash Chopra has predicted about South African opener Quinton de Kock. Aakash Chopra said that he would not be surprised if De Kock gets the highest amount as a foreign opener.

This statement of Aakash Chopra came after de Kock’s century against India on Sunday. The South African opener had scored 124 runs in the third ODI played in Cape Town. He scored 229 runs in the three-match series. De Kock was also adjudged the player of the series.

Aakash Chopra said on his official Twitter account that Quinton de Kock can become the most expensive opener in the IPL 2022 auction. He said that I would not be surprised if de Kock gets the most money among foreign openers. This is a typical list which includes legends like Warner, Finch, Bairstow.
