The world is against India!

47 lakh people died in India due to Kovid-19. Would any knowledgeable and sensitive person in India doubt this figure? But to the Indian government, it is probably because this assessment of the WHO has gone against its headline management.

Why does the Indian government feel that the whole world is against it? If any organization of the world issues a report and India’s image in it does not emerge according to the expectations of the Narendra Modi government, then this government immediately raises questions on the way or intention of preparing it. It will certainly be considered as the misfortune of the government that most such reports are coming against their will. Whether it is about the Democracy Index or the Press Freedom Index or the Hunger Index – the face of India is not visible anywhere. Now the same has happened with the number of deaths during the corona epidemic. Soon after the release of the World Health Organization (WHO) report in this matter, India raised questions on the way it was prepared. Rather, to prepare the environment in advance, India had released the figures on its behalf a day earlier. Altogether 5 lakh 23 thousand 889 people were said to have died in it.

India’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued a statement saying that the WHO’s method of analysis and data collection is “questionable”. India has also complained that the data has been released without addressing India’s concerns. However, the reality is that the world was waiting for this report of WHO for a long time, so that it can be known that how many people died in this epidemic. The WHO’s assessment is based on the total number of deaths directly or indirectly due to Kovid-19 between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2021. According to this, at least 47 lakh people died in India due to Kovid-19 during this period. Would any knowledgeable and sensitive person in India doubt this figure? But to the Indian government, it is probably because the WHO’s assessment has gone against its headline management.
