These leopards will be brought to Gwalior by special charter flight.

Leopard will come directly to Gwalior

Let us tell you that eight leopards from South Africa were earlier to be brought to Jaipur in India, but due to logistics difficulties, the plan has been changed. The leopards will be taken from Gwalior to Kuno-Palpur National Park (KNP) in Madhya Pradesh by a charter helicopter. Due to this, the rooms booked for the employees and officers reaching Jaipur near Jaipur Airport have been canceled. Let us tell that he will leave for India from Namibia in a special aircraft tonight with 8 cheetahs and will reach Gwalior at 8:00 am on 17th September. From there the leopards will be taken to Kuno Park by helicopter. Tomorrow i.e. 17th September is the birthday of the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi. In such a situation, this year PM’s birthday is going to be special with the arrival of a team of cheetahs on Indian soil after nearly seven decades.

cheetahs will remain hungry

The special thing is that cheetahs coming to India from Namibia will be kept empty stomach during the air travel. According to the information provided by the forest department, after taking off from Namibia, the cheetahs will be fed directly in the Kuno-Palpur National Park. As a precaution, it is important that the stomach of the animals remains empty during the journey. With this, the animals can avoid problems like nausea during the journey.

Quarantine will be kept for 30 days

According to the information received from the forest department, after reaching Kuno, the cheetahs will be kept in an enclosure for 30 days. During this, his health will be monitored. After that they will be released in the wild. A minimum of 25-30 cheetahs are required to maintain ecological balance, so in 5 years some more cheetahs from Namibia and South Africa will be brought to India.

Cheetah is extinct in India since 1947

This species had become endangered due to incidents of poaching of leopards. In Madhya Pradesh, the Maharaja of Korea, Ramanuj Pratap Singh Deo, killed the last three leopards left in the country in 1947. Then in 1952, the Government of India officially declared the cheetah extinct.
