New Wave Of Corona In Delhi: The possibility of a new wave of corona in Delhi is less at present. Right now the delta variant is spreading all over the world and is causing the third wave. This variant has spread in the previous wave, so it will have less impact in Delhi.

The graph of Corona in the capital is stable for the last 45 days. The daily cases are below 100 and the infection rate also remains below 0.15 per cent. At present, Delhi has only 0.10 percent of the number of cases of infection coming in the country. Experts believe that herd immunity has been formed against Corona in the capital. About 66 percent of the population has received the first dose of the vaccine. Due to this, the situation with the virus has been under control for a long time. With the increasing speed of vaccination and the absence of any new variants, the risk of the next wave has also reduced.

No increase in infection cases for almost three months

This is the first time since the introduction of Corona in Delhi last year that there is no increase in infection cases for almost three months. All parameters of virus are under control. Despite having an average of 75 thousand tests per day, now on an average only 37 cases are coming daily. Active patients have also remained less than 400.

The daily cases that reached 28,395 in the second wave had slipped to 17 last month. The cases of death which had crossed 400 have now been reduced to one. The daily cases have remained less than 100 for 45 days and the infection rate is also less than 0.10 percent. This is the first time since the onset of Corona last year that the virus has remained stable for almost two months.

More than 70 thousand people are being investigated daily in Delhi: Dr. Jugal Kishore

On the current situation in Delhi, Dr Jugal Kishore, chairman of the Community Medicine Department of Safdarjung Hospital, says that more than 70 thousand people are being tested daily in Delhi. Despite this, there is no increase in the cases. This means that now there are only a few people left to get infected. During the second wave itself, about 90 percent of the population has been infected with corona. Therefore, herd immunity against infection has developed here. This is the reason why the virus is not spreading and the situation has remained good for a long time.

Dr. Kishor says that looking at the current equations, there will be no third wave in Delhi. About 66 percent of the population has already received the first dose. Apart from this, no new strain has also come. He said that the next wave can come only when a strain comes that dodges the immunity created by the vaccine and spreads rapidly.

Don’t take corona pandemic lightly

Medical director of Loknayak Hospital Dr Suresh Kumar says that vaccination is happening at a fast pace in Delhi. Corona investigation is also being done at a record level. Along with this, the rules of prevention of infection are also being strictly followed. These are the three reasons why the situation has been under control from Corona for a long time. Dr. Suresh said that the virus is breathless at present and it is expected that this situation will remain the same for a long time. However, it is too early to say that the next wave may not come. It will all depend on the changes taking place in the virus. That is why it is important that people do not take the epidemic lightly and keep following the rules.

Only 2321 cases of infection in 45 days

In the last 45 days, there have been only 2321 cases of infection in the capital. During this time the number of daily infected has been below 100. If we compare these figures with the second wave, then an average of 25 thousand cases were coming daily. Now this number has been reduced to 51. Then more than 250 deaths were happening daily. Now this figure is of one. Talking about the infection rate, it also remains less than 0.10 percent.
