Team India ODI Captain: After T20, Rohit Sharma has also been made the captain of India’s ODI team. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced this on Wednesday. Actually, when the 2011 World Cup team was announced, Rohit Sharma was not included in it. After this, his pain was spread on Twitter. He wrote on January 31, 2011 that I am very disappointed as I could not be a part of the World Cup squad. I need to move on from here, but to be honest, it’s a big blow…any ideas from you! Rohit missed out on lifting the World Cup trophy. Team India became the champion by defeating Sri Lanka in the final match played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Now Rohit has a chance to captain Team India in the 2023 World Cup. Apart from being named the captain of the ODI team, Rohit has also been made the vice-captain of the Test team, replacing the in-form Ajinkya Rahane. Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, Team India defeated New Zealand in the three-match T20 series last month (November). His captaincy journey in ODIs will start with the tour of South Africa.
