the issue is huge

A company has announced to give free napkins to a girl who raised the issue of sanitary pads in Bihar. Clearly, he has used the atmosphere created by this controversy as an opportunity for his publicity.

It is reported that a company making sanitary napkins has offered free napkins to a girl from Bihar who had demanded to provide these products to all women free of cost during a government program. The insensitivity with which the woman IAF officer present there spoke to that girl has become a big news. The National Commission for Women has also issued a notice against the officer. Amidst the atmosphere created in the media, the IAS officer had to make a public demand. After that this company came forward. But it is worth noting that the girl did not make the demand for herself. Rather, he had asked to provide sanitary napkins to poor women who did not have the money to buy them. Later, the girl told the media that she was in a position to buy them and also understood the importance of health during menstruation.

In such a situation, if the company had chosen a poor locality and announced to give life free napkins to all the women there, then it would be considered as company service. But if he has announced to give napkins to the girl praising her courage, then it will be considered that he has made the atmosphere created by this controversy as an opportunity for his publicity. In this way she is making a bigger issue trivial. This will not help in changing the circumstances and thinking of the society. While many other unpleasant aspects have also come to light from this controversy. This has also exposed the reality of Bihar Government’s Chief Minister Kishori Health Scheme. It came to the fore that the toilets in government schools are either not there, even if they are, their condition is not usable. On this question too, an officer present in that program showed an equally insensitive attitude. On drawing attention to this problem, she asked the girls whether there are separate toilets for everyone in your houses? The issue is also the attitude of the authorities, which is a big aspect of the ongoing problem.
