Maruti Suzuki Car Sales Drop : The country’s largest car company Maruti Suzuki has seen a decrease in sales in the month of October. According to the company, sales of the company’s cars have declined by 32 percent in the month of October. The demand for cars has increased but due to the decrease in semiconductor production, the sales of cars have decreased.

Production decreased due to lack of chips

According to Maruti Suzuki, 1,12,788 cars were supplied to dealers in October 2021, while 1,66,825 cars were supplied in October 2020. However, the company has said in its statement that due to lack of electronic components, the production of vehicles has been affected. However, the company has taken several steps to reduce its impact.

Festivals faded due to lack of chips

In fact, auto companies wait for the whole year for festivals like Dussehra, Dhanteras and Diwali. During this time most of the vehicles are sold. But due to the lack of semiconductor chip, the production of vehicles has been affected. This is the reason why auto companies are not able to sell vehicles as expected on this festival. The venting period is running for 5 to 6 months on the delivery of most of the vehicles. This means that even after booking the customers, they have to wait a long time for the delivery of their dream car.

The effect of the rise in the stock market is also visible on the stock of Maruti Suzuki. Maruti’s stock is trading at Rs 7,600 with a jump of 1.57 percent.
