The first reaction of Shaw, Akshar and Nortje on being retained for IPL 2022 came to the fore

Delhi Capitals Retained Players IPL 2022: Delhi Capitals has released the list of its retained players before the mega auction of IPL 2022. The franchise has retained Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw, Axar Patel and Enrique Nortje for the upcoming season. Now after being written, the first reaction of Shaw, Akshar and Enrique has come to the fore.

All these three players have expressed happiness over being retained by the franchise ahead of the mega auction of IPL 2022. The franchise, co-owned by JSW and GMR, said on Tuesday that left-arm spin all-rounder Axar Patel, opener Prithvi Shaw and pacer Enrique Nortje along with wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant have been retained ahead of the 2022 IPL season.

After being retained by Delhi, Axar Patel said, “My journey with Delhi Capitals has been very special. I would like to thank the Delhi Capitals family for showing so much trust and confidence in me. I look forward to playing in the upcoming season. I’m very excited.”

On the other hand, Prithvi Shaw said, “I have had an amazing journey with the franchise since 2018 and they have supported me in my ups and downs, for which I am grateful. Thank you for showing faith.”

South African fast bowler Enrique Nortje said after being retained by Delhi Capitals, “I have had an incredible journey with Delhi and I have learned a lot from all the players in the team. The atmosphere of the team has also been great for the last two seasons. I am looking forward to playing for the team again.”
