The country got a new CDS in the form of retired Lieutenant General ‘Anil Chauhan’

New Delhi | Lt General Anil Chauhan: Retired Lieutenant General Anil Chauhan has been appointed as the new Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) of the country. Anil Chauhan played an important role in the Balakot air strike. Let us tell you that this important post was lying vacant since the death of General Bipin Rawat in a helicopter crash.

Lt General Anil Chauhan: Lt Gen Anil Chauhan (Retd) will assume the rank of a 4 star rank general after taking over as the second CDS of India. The post of CDS was lying vacant for more than 9 months after the death of General Bipin Rawat. Let us tell you that Anil Chauhan had retired as the Eastern Army Commander last year. Now this position has been filled once again. Born on 18 May 1961, Lt Gen Anil Chauhan has held several command, staff and important positions in his career spanning over 40 years.

Lt Gen Anil Chauhan has vast experience of counter-terrorist operations in Jammu and Kashmir and Northeast India. Lt Gen Chouhan will play his role as Secretary of Military Affairs along with CDS. Important contribution made in Balakot air strike
Lt General Anil Chauhan: Anil Chauhan was the Director General Military Operations (DGMO) during the Balakot air strike in 2019. During this, Chauhan played an important role against Pakistan. Indian fighter jets gave a befitting reply to Pakistan after the Pulwama terrorist attack. Entered Pakistan and destroyed the terrorist training camp.
