The bowlers gave victory to Hyderabad in a thrilling match, beat Bangalore by four runs

Bangalore vs Hyderabad: Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by four runs in the 52nd match of IPL 2021 on the strength of the bowlers’ fine bowling. RCB captain Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, Hyderabad scored 141 for seven in 20 overs. Chasing the target, RCB’s team could only score 137 runs for six wickets in 20 overs. For Hyderabad, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jason Holder, Siddharth Kaul, Umran Malik and Rashid Khan got one wicket each.

Chasing the target, RCB did not have a good start and they lost the wickets of Kohli (5), Daniel Christian (1) and Shrikar Bharat (12) for just 38 runs. After this, Devdutt Padikal and Glenn Maxwell took over the innings of RCB and shared a 54-run partnership for the fourth wicket.

However, Maxwell was run out after scoring 40 runs off 25 balls with the help of three fours and two sixes. After some time, Rashid gave the fifth blow to RCB by dismissing Padikal. Padikal scored 41 runs off 52 balls with four fours, and then Shahbaz Ahmed (14) also returned to the pavilion as the sixth batsman.

RCB needed 13 runs to win in the last over, but the team could score only eight runs. In RCB’s innings, AB de Villiers remained unbeaten on 19 balls with the help of a four and a six and George Garten remained unbeaten on two runs.

Earlier, Hyderabad had a bad start. Abhishek Sharma, who came to bat as an opener, got out after scoring 13 runs. Jason Roy, along with captain Kane Williamson, took the innings forward and the two shared a 58-ball 70-run partnership for the second wicket. Both the batsmen seemed to be in form and were taking Hyderabad’s innings towards a big score. Harshal Patel broke this growing partnership by dismissing Williamson.

Williamson scored 31 runs in 29 balls with the help of four fours. After this, Priyam Garg, who came to bat, could not last long and scored 15 runs in 11 balls with the help of a six. On one hand Roy was increasing the innings of the team and Abdul Samad came to support him. Roy was close to his half-century that Christian sent him out to the pavilion. Roy scored 44 runs in 38 balls with the help of five fours. Soon after, Samad was also out and Hyderabad’s innings faltered. After this, wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha (10) and Jason Holder (16) were dismissed for runs while Rashid remained unbeaten on seven runs. For RCB, Harshal took three, Christian two, while George Garten and Yuzvendra Chahal took one wicket each.
