Sanjay Raut gets bail after spending 101 days in jail

Mumbai A special court in Mumbai on Wednesday granted bail to Shiv Sena (UT) MP Sanjay Raut after spending nearly 101 days in jail. The ED had arrested Raut on August 1. The ED raided Raut on July 31 and arrested him the next day (August 1) in connection with an alleged money laundering scam related to the Patra Chawl redevelopment case in Goregaon. A special PMLA court granted bail to the flamboyant leader, though there is speculation that the ED will challenge the decision in the high court. (IANS)
