North Korea-China freight train service resumed

The South Korean Unification Ministry, which deals with ties with North Korea, said it assessed the resumption of the North Korea-China freight railway service on Monday. However, neither China nor North Korea has confirmed this. Unification Ministry spokesman Cho Jonghoon said how long the train service would last and which freight movement would come first remains to be seen.

After this, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Webin told in a daily press conference that China and North Korea have agreed to resume cross-border goods movement between their two border cities. . However, the state media of North Korea has not yet confirmed this. On Monday morning, South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency said that a 10-car freight train originating from the Chinese border city of Dandong was seen crossing the railway bridge and entering North Korea’s Sinuiju City.
