Thackeray family hopes for miracle
The question of lakhs is that why is Uddhav Thackeray not resigning? They know they have lost the majority. He may have party and organization but majority of MLAs have gone away from him. Around 40 of his MLAs are with Eknath Shinde after parting ways with him and are looking to form the government with the BJP. Despite this, Uddhav is not resigning. He vacated the chief minister’s residence but continues to hold the chief minister’s post. If he is confident that he will prove his majority in the house, then he should recommend to the Governor to call the session of the assembly after meeting the cabinet and if it seems that he has lost the majority, then he should resign. But they are doing nothing.
Looks like they’re hoping for a miracle. They feel that the kind of miracle that Sharad Pawar did in October 2019, he will do the same kind of miracle again. But at that time the matter was of Sharad Pawar’s own party and his own nephew Ajit Pawar. This time it is about Shiv Sainiks. Shiv Sainik is not in Sharad Pawar’s bus. That’s why Pawar is repeatedly saying that he has faith in Uddhav that if his MLAs return from Guwahati, then they will join the Shiv Sena camp. But Uddhav himself does not believe that this will happen.
The most surprising thing is that when the first group of MLAs went to Guwahati via Surat, Pawar was very surprised that how they were not informed about their departure. But after that, one by one, two MLAs went straight to Guwahati, so why couldn’t they be stopped? It is even more surprising that why did Pawar not try to stop or convince the independent MLAs? He has no emphasis on Shiv Sainiks but he could have explained to the Independent MLAs. That’s when it seems that the kind of miracle the Thackeray family is expecting from Pawar is not going to happen this time.
