Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday said that two out of three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists were killed in the encounter who wanted to target the upcoming Amarnath Yatra at the behest of their masters based in Pakistan. The 43-day Amarnath Yatra is going to start in the Union Territory on June 30. Police said that a local terrorist Adil Hussain Mir, a resident of Pahalgam in Pakistan and Anantnag in Anantnag, was killed in an operation launched after receiving intelligence inputs in Bemina area of ​​Srinagar on Monday night. At the same time, a policeman was also injured during the encounter.

Amarnath Attack Terrorist : Police said both the terrorists were part of the same terrorist group. who had fled during an encounter on June 6 from a forest area in Sopore. A terrorist from Hanjala in Lahore was killed in the encounter. Police said that among the three terrorists, two Pakistanis and a local, were planning to attack the Amarnath Yatra in Pakistan since 2018. Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar said that Adil had gone to Pakistan from Wagah in 2018. Two AK-47 rifles, 10 magazines, live cartridges, Y-SMS device, matrix sheet, Pakistani medicines and other incriminating material were recovered from the encounter site in Srinagar.

Yatra is starting from 30th January after 2 years

Amarnath Attack Terrorist : Let us inform that after a gap of two years of Kovid-19 epidemic, the Amarnath Yatra will start from June 30 this year. The government expects that this year the number of devotees will be very high. This time six to eight lakh devotees are expected to attend the annual Amarnath Yatra. In such a situation, the security agencies have been instructed to be alert in advance, along with the police and the army have also been kept in alert mode.
