Srinagar, A terrorist involved in the targeted killing of Hindus in Jammu and Kashmir has been gunned down by the security forces. It is being said that he was involved in the murder of Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhat. An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in the Waterhale area of Budgam district of the state on Wednesday, in which three terrorists were killed. One of them had killed Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhat.
State Police ADGP Vijay Kumar said that the terrorists of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba were surrounded by security forces in the area. One of them, a terrorist named Latif Rather, was involved in the killing of several civilians, including Kashmiri Pandits Rahul Bhat and Amrin Bhat. According to the ADGP, a search operation is going on. On the other hand, security forces have foiled a big terrorist conspiracy in Pulwama. A huge quantity of IEDs were recovered there.
The police is looking into linking it with both the incidents. ADGP Vijay Kumar said that during the joint operation of police and security forces, 25 to 30 kg IED was recovered near the crossing on circular road in Pulwama, which has been defused. This shows that the terrorists were about to carry out some major incident in the area.
