Technical snag in Air India flight, Mumbai to Calicut flight delayed by three hours

Mumbai An Air India flight from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport to Calicut was delayed by over three hours on Sunday due to a technical glitch. An Air India spokesperson said in a statement that when the aircraft was brought back from the terminus following the disturbance, there were 114 passengers on board.

Air India flight AI 581 turned back at 6.25 am due to a technical snag, the airline said. The statement said that a complete engineering check was carried out for the aircraft before it was given clearance to fly again. The airline said the plane finally took off for its destination Calicut at 9.50 am.
