Team India will go to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy? Anurag Thakur gave this answer

Anurag Thakur on Champions Trophy 2025: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has given the hosting of the 2025 Champions Trophy to Pakistan. Pakistan will host any ICC tournament after 29 years. With Pakistan getting the host, the question also arose whether Team India would tour the neighboring country.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur has answered this question on Wednesday. He told whether Team India will tour Pakistan or not. Talking to reporters, Anurag Thakur said that the Ministry of Home Affairs will be involved in this decision and a decision will be taken only after a lot of assessment.

Let us tell you that due to the political tension between the two countries, India has not visited Pakistan for a long time. Both the countries face each other in ICC tournaments. Anurag Thakur said that when the time comes, we will see what to do. The Home Ministry will be involved in decision making. He further said that recently many countries have withdrawn from going to Pakistan due to security reasons. At that time again we will take stock of the security and decide.

ICC released 2031 schedule

The ICC on Tuesday released the schedule of tournaments till 2031. Pakistan has got the responsibility of any ICC tournament after 29 years. After the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team in 2009, the teams have been avoiding touring Pakistan.

New Zealand went on a tour of Pakistan in September this year, but before the series started, they canceled the tour citing security reasons. Earlier, Pakistan had jointly hosted the 1996 World Cup. Apart from Pakistan, matches of the tournament were played in Sri Lanka and India.

The T20 World Cup to be held in the year 2024 has been given to America and West Indies.
The ICC Champions Trophy to be held in the year 2025 will be played in Pakistan. The ICC has handed over the hosting of this tournament to Pakistan.
T20 World Cup will be played in the year 2026. Which has been hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
– In the year 2027, the ODI World Cup will be played. The matches of this tournament will be played in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. Three countries will host this tournament together.
The hosting of the T20 World Cup to be held in the year 2028 has been handed over to Australia and New Zealand.
India has got the hosting of the Champions Trophy to be held in the year 2029.
In the year 2030, the T20 World Cup will be organized in England, Ireland and Scotland.
In the year 2031, India and Sri Lanka will jointly host the ODI World Cup.
