Team India recorded the biggest win in T20 International, beat Scotland 81 balls first


India vs Scotland: India defeated Scotland by 8 wickets in the Super 12 match of the ICC T20 World Cup on Friday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, thanks to a swashbuckling innings from KL Rahul (50). Batting first, Scotland team scored 85 runs in 17.4 overs for the loss of 10 wickets. In response, chasing the target, the Indian team achieved the target by losing two wickets in 6.3 overs. India’s opening pair Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul once again made an excellent partnership of 70 runs in 30 balls.

Biggest win for India in T20 Internationals

India achieved the target of 86 runs from Scotland 81 balls already. This is the biggest victory of Team India in terms of ball remaining in T20 International. Earlier in 2016, India had defeated Bangladesh in Mirpur with 59 balls to spare. At the same time, this is the third biggest victory for any team in the history of the World Cup in terms of balls remaining.

India’s second consecutive win

Chasing the target, the batsmen of the Indian team made a smoky start. From the very beginning, Rohit and Rahul wreaked havoc on the Scottish bowlers. During this, both the batsmen were raining fours and sixes. Meanwhile, India’s score reached 50 runs in 4.1 overs. Rohit got out after scoring 30 runs in 15 balls with the help of five fours and a six. At the same time, Rahul completed his half-century by showing flair.

But before India won the match, Rahul returned to the pavilion after scoring 50 runs in 19 balls with the help of six fours and three sixes. During this, in the power play, the team scored 82 runs for the loss of two wickets. India registered an easy victory in the match by scoring 89 runs for the loss of 2 wickets, thanks to runs from captain Virat (2) and Suryakumar Yadav (6).

Earlier, the Scotland team, who came out to bat, had a very poor start. In the power play, the team scored 27 runs for the loss of two wickets. During this, George Muncy (24) and Kyle Coetzer (1) were dismissed after scoring runs. After this, Jadeja gave two blows to the team in the same over. He soon followed Matthew Cross (2) and Richie Berrington (0).

Callum McLeod and Michael Lesk, who came at number five and six, showed patience and added some runs for the team, making the team 44 runs for the loss of four wickets in 10 overs. Together they scored 29 runs in 26 balls. After this, Lesk became the victim of Jadeja after scoring 21 runs in 12 balls with the help of two fours and a six. Along with this, Chris Greaves (1) went on to give a wicket to R Ashwin in the bag. By this time Scotland’s score was 64 for 6 in 14 overs.
