Jaisalmer. The ALS 50 drone system has been tested at the Pokaran field firing range in Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan. This ALS 50 drone with many features including the Autonomous Vertical Landing Takeoff System (VTOL) made surefire targets on the enemy’s proxy targets.
As part of Make in India, the ALS 50 Loyalty Ammunition Drone System manufactured by Tata Advance Defense Systems was successfully test-fired on Thursday and Friday in the presence of experts from Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and Tata Advanced Systems Limited. During this, DRDO scientists, army officers and experts from Tata Defense System were present.
Till now this type of Loyalty Drone Ammunition was imported from Israel to meet the needs of Indian Army, now it has been manufactured in the country under Make in India.
This ALS 50 drone is capable of traveling a very long distance as well as finding and destroying enemy positions by firing them accurately. (talk)
