Team India head coach Ravi Shastri and coaching staff may return from England on Wednesday


Team India’s head coach Ravi Shastri and other members of the support staff can leave for India from England on Wednesday. Before the fourth Test between India and England, Ravi Shastri and two other members of Team India’s support staff Bharat Arun and R Sridhar were found to be Kovid positive. However, before returning on Wednesday, it is necessary for all of them to have two negative RT-PCR reports.

According to a senior BCCI official, “Ravi, Sridhar and Arun are completely healthy and have no symptoms of Kovid. Their RT-PCR test will be done on Monday. September 15 is the date fixed for their return to India from England.” If the RT-PCR report comes negative, then these three can return to India on this day. However, the final decision will be taken by the medical team only.

Quarantine is ending today

Let us tell you that Shastri, Arun and Sridhar were found to be Kovid positive before the fourth Test played at the Oval. All of them were quarantined on 4 September. The rest of the support staff will return today

Other members of Team India’s support staff will leave for India from England this afternoon. All of them will reach India via commercial flight via Dubai. However, junior physio Yogesh Parmar, whose Kovid test report came positive on September 8, has to remain in isolation for a few more days, due to which he will not be able to return to India at the moment.

The decision of the fifth Test and series hangs in the balance
