Tandav may cause heavy cyclone on Diwali, IMD alert! Here employees’ leave canceled

New Delhi | IMD Alert: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has once again warned of heavy rain in many states. Said on Tuesday that according to the Meteorological Department, a low pressure area is going to form over the Bay of Bengal. Which is likely to turn into a cyclone by the end of the week.

The Meteorological Department says that, within the next 48 hours i.e. 22 October, a low pressure area is going to form over the southwest and adjoining east-central part of the Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move west-northwestwards turning into a cyclonic storm. Due to which many states may have to face heavy rains once again. With this low pressure area turning into a cyclone, heavy rains may occur over West Bengal, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. Also, its effect can be seen in other states as well.

Government employees’ holidays canceled
In view of the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the Odisha government has come on alert mode and alert has been issued in the coastal districts of the state. All arrangements have been made to deal with any situation. Along with this, the holidays of government employees between 23 and 25 October have been canceled.

Heavy Rain Warning: IMD Director General Mrityunjay Mohapatra also said that, however, it is too early to issue any forecast about its intensity and route. An accurate prediction of the cyclone can be made only after its low pressure area is formed.
