He was administered the oath of office
After Pramod Sawant was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Goa, Vishwajit Rane, son of former CM Pratap Singh Rane, was also sworn in as a minister. Apart from this, Rohan Khunte, Govind Gowde, Ravi Naik, Nilesh Krabal, Mavin Gudinho, Subhash Shirodkar were also sworn in as ministers.

48-year-old Pramod Sawant is taking over as the Chief Minister of Goa for the second time. He took oath in Konkani language today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several prominent BJP leaders including Nitin Gadkari, JP Nadda, Himachal Pradesh Governor Rajendra Arlekar and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also attended the occasion.

Let us tell you that Pramod Sawant is the MLA from Sankhalim of Goa. In 2017, he was elected Speaker of the Assembly. Sawant took oath as the chief minister for the first time after Parrikar’s death in 2019. Significantly, in the 40-member Goa house, the BJP has won 20 seats, ie one seat less than the majority. In such a situation, three independent MLAs and two MLAs of Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party have extended support to the BJP.
